pardon the gluttony of posting 3...

traveling is a buffet to a photographer. please tolerate me as i will likely post more than one photo a day for a while...more pedestrian photos on our lonely planet site, feel free to check those out too by clicking the title of this post (I'll set it up to do this daily too...)

so long, farewell...

so today my manager asked how i was doing and i admitted to being a little sad - i mean, i'm psyched for my trip - but as a total extrovert, the people my life really sustain me. i'll miss my circle in seattle, that's for sure, and to some degree, work even...he went on to say, 'i was thinking, this place (work)is a big part of your life and who you are. i expect you're going to miss it a bit..." yeah, but not the work. just my friends.

my favorite daphne

this is my favorite plant in my front yard. as daphne's are known to be the prima donna's of the lawn, i thought i'd honor her here so that she might stay healthy and keep blooming for me. my neighbors were considering getting one until they read a passage in their garden book that said, "yes, daphne's are gorgeous - but suppose you invite 10 people over to see how beautiful your daphne is doing - she could opt to die in 10 minutes time..." this gal is a happy one. here's hoping she stays that way. i love her.

day off

due to upcoming trip, i'm taking a day off. my photos are crap lately anyhow, mainly because i'm unfocused due to trip planning becoming time sensitive, and me running out of time...so, soon things should liven up a bit with photos from my trip. stay tuned.

cheb i sabbah@chop suey

the belly-dancer was in line for a hotdog outside chop suey when she asked for cream cheese on her hotdog. she said she had to eat in order to get the 'jiggly' effect. who knew.

pizza and pop, my favorite meal

this is the best east coast style pizza in seattle - found in the unlikely northgate neighborhood. they don't lie. it really is new york pizza.

email overload

i don't know what was going on in the universe on tuesday, but i got ungodly amounts of email - way more than the usual ridiculous amount. this was the best moment of my day - shutting down my machine.
